Identifikasi Sanitasi Layak Pada Masyarakat Terdampak Kawasan Spesifik Pasang-Surut (Studi Kasus: DAS Brantas, Bantaran Sungai Kalianak, Surabaya)

Sanitasi berkaitan erat dengan perilaku atau budaya bersih dan sehat. Keadaan sanitasi dapat dilihat dari bagaimana menjaga agar lingkungan hunian selalu terjaga kebersihannya. Sanitasi dasar meliputi penyediaan air bersih, pembuangan air limbah, saluran drainase, dan pengelolaan sampah. Apabila keseluruhan sanitasi dasar dapat dicapai, maka sanitasi layak pun akan dengan mudah tercapai. Sanitasi layak merupakan fasilitas yang memenuhi syarat kesehatan, digunakan oleh rumah tangga sendiri, atau bersama dengan rumah tangga lain tertentu dan dilengkapi dengan kloset jenis leher angsa, serta tempat pembuangan akhir tinja berupa tangki septik. Sanitasi layak termasuk dalam syarat kesehatan yang mengindikasikan sehat atau tidaknya suatu lingkungan. Perlu dilakukan suatu identifikasi untuk mengetahui penyebab wilayah tersebut belum bisa mencapai sanitasi layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran umum dan persepsi serta perspektif masyarakat terhadap sanitasi. Digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi lapangan juga wawancara degan metode purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan penelitian, didapati bahwa sanitasi layak masih belum tercapai di lokasi studi, hal ini dikarenakan terbatasnya lahan dan letaknya yang berada di wilayah spesifik, sehingga pembangunan tidak mudah untuk dilakukan. Maka, untuk mewujudkan sanitasi layak di kawasan spesifik seperti pada lokasi studi, dibutuhkan perencanaan khusus dengan mempertimbangkan banyaknya faktor seperti keterbatasan lahan, lama pasang-surut, dan juga kondisi kontur tanah.
