Perencanaan IPAL (Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah) Menggunakan Activataed Sludge pada Limbah Industri Non-Woven di Sidoarjo

Pesatnya perkembangan industri non-woven di Indonesia telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan menyediakan produk-produk berkualitas tinggi. Namun, pertumbuhan ini menimbulkan tantangan lingkungan, terutama dalam pengelolaan air limbah. Perencanaan ini menganalisis komprehensif karakteristik air limbah, termasuk kebutuhan oksigen kimia (COD), kebutuhan oksigen biologis (BOD), dan padatan tersuspensi total (TSS), yang sangat penting untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas sistem pengolahan air limbah. Penelitian ini menekankan desain sistem lumpur aktif untuk pengolahan air limbah, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas limbah untuk memenuhi standar lingkungan. Metodologi ini mencakup tinjauan literatur dan pengumpulan data dari sumber primer dan sekunder, memastikan kerangka kerja yang kuat untuk merencanakan instalasi pengolahan air limbah. Perencanaan menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang diusulkan tidak hanya sesuai dengan peraturan lingkungan tetapi juga mempromosikan keberlanjutan, meminimalkan dampak ekologis pada badan air di sekitarnya, seperti Sungai Brantas.
