Pengaruh Faktor Fisika Oseanografi terhadap Distribusi Cemaran Minyak di Perairan Teluk Balikpapan

Banyaknya aktivitas di Teluk Balikpapan menyebabkan kerentanan ekosistem pesisir dan menurunkan kualitas perairan, terutama karena tumpahan minyak dan limbah industri dari sekitarnya. Hal ini akan berdampak pada organisme dan masyarakat yang menggantungkan hidupnya di Teluk Balikpapan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penting mengetahui bagaimana faktor fisika oseanografi mempengaruhi penyebaran dan konsentrasi cemaran minyak serta membantu pengendalian pencemaran di Teluk Balikpapan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana faktor fisika oseanografi mempengaruhi cemaran minyak dan memberikan informasi distribusi cemaran minyak di perairan Teluk Balikpapan. Pengolahan data dilakukan terhadap parameter arus permukaan, pasang surut, gelombang dan Total Petroleum Hidrocarbon (TPH). Konsentrasi rata-rata TPH saat pasang dan surut dianalisis menggunakan uji t-student, sedangkan hubungan kecepatan arus dan gelombang signifikan terhadap TPH dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Konsentrasi rata-rata TPH hasil uji t-student tidak menunjukkan perbedaan nyata antara pasang (0.62±0.08 ppm) dan surut (0.63±0.12 ppm). Distribusi TPH saat pasang dan surut terakumulasi pada lekukan teluk dengan kisaran 1.00 ppm – 1.20 ppm, sedangkan yang bukan lekukan teluk relatif lebih rendah dengan konsentrasi ≤1.00 ppm. Kecepatan arus pasang berkisar antara 0.03–0.52 m/s dengan arah 200–3450 sedangkan saat surut berkisar 0.03–0.60 m/s dengan arah 1050 - 2250. Kecepatan arus berpengaruh nyata terhadap distribusi dan akumulasi TPH baik saat pasang maupun surut dengan nilai korelasi masing-masing -0.68 dan -0.74, dimana semakin tinggi kecepatan arus, TPH semakin rendah. Hasil analisis regresi gelombang signifikan dengan TPH menunjukkan pengaruh negatif dengan nilai korelasi -0.71. Arah gelombang dari selatan menyebabkan peningkatan TPH di tempat yang sama saat pasang dan surut.
