Urgensi Kewenangan Pemerintah dalam Penanganan Pencemaran Lingkungan untuk Perlindungan Kesehatan Masyarakat di Indonesia

Lingkungan hidup yang tercemar menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan masyarakat. Pencemaran udara, air, dan tanah di Indonesia seringkali disebabkan oleh lemahnya pengawasan dan belum optimalnya kewenangan pemerintah dalam pengendalian pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah memiliki peran strategis untuk memastikan kualitas lingkungan tetap sehat melalui kebijakan dan penegakan hukum lingkungan yang tegas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi kewenangan pemerintah dalam menangani pencemaran lingkungan sebagai upaya perlindungan kesehatan masyarakat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan normatif dengan teori hukum sebagai alat analisis, dikemas dalam bentuk analisis deskriptif terhadap regulasi dan penerapannya di lapangan.
